We have had some great crisp fall mornings and I love to take my pooches out for a walk and I always bring my camera along with a poop bag...it never fails...every time we go for a walk Snickers gets to about halfway down the block and there she goes, never fails..why do dogs do that? Anyway as we go out for our morning stroll I've been snapping pictures of the cutest fall decorated porches in our neighborhood. There are a few vintage homes in the area and they are always my favorite to take pictures of.
See that cute old antique desk in the picture above? What a great spot for some pumpkins to rest.
Here is a collection of different type of gourds on the steps of this adorable home, I've taken pictures of it before so you might recognize it if you've been a reader of my blog.
I love a white house with black shutters and door, and those front diamond-panned windows I would die for.
One house over is my friend Cyndi's house, remember her designer kitchen here? I got some more pictures to share of her home and her tablescape but her is her porch for now.
Her plants are looking mighty healthy. Doesn't that Cinderella pumpkin look fake? It is so perfect, like it was made out of terracotta clay.
As we leave Cyndi's porch she has some plants planted in an old wine barrel, great fall color...love it!
Moving right along....I thought this porch was super cute and you know how I love me a brick porch and some white pumpkins.
Three cute little pumpkins sitting on the bench ....
This is one of my favorite houses and I love the autumnal colors they painted the house, kind of a dark khaki color. It has so many architectural details and those great windows with a hanging porch swing!
I know this house is not decorated for fall but...do you recognize it? It was used in a very famous Halloween Movie?
As was this one....a very colorful Victorian, which happens to be on the market. If you dare to gamble a guess as to which movie the two above homes where in I'll send you a prize if you are the first person to guess correct. The prize will be a very cute fall wreath. Leave a comment here on this post and by next week Wed, November 6th by midnight Pacific time the first commenter that is correct win the wreath! I'll annouce the winner on the 8th and reveal which Halloween movie those classic houses starred in. But before I leave you, here is the Cottage on Cullen's Halloween 2013 porch.
I went with a witches theme.....this year...image that! Me a witch!
I got the idea of the floating witches' hat from Brooklyn Limestone, if you have not seen her blog..this is the best time of the year to do so, she has the BEST Halloween party ideas and decorations, I mean THE BEST!
A place for all my witchy friends to park their brooms...
Hey my gardenia bush is looking pretty healthy! Gardenias are my favorite flower!
Here is the side view of my porch...with my Candelier suspended from the ceiling. See the tall white funkin?? I had intentions with a capital I, to have my witchy silohuette done and plaster it on the funkin but I guess that project will have to wait until next year...time sometimes seems to get away from me.
I did whip up this raven wreath yesterday...I was at Michaels picking up some things for my daughters' costume and the glittered raven was 70 percent off I had a feather boa in the supply box and a wreath form from a yard sale...so using a hot glue gun, wham-0 got a wreath for the door.
