On Friday night my neighbor had a Scentsy Party and Jewlery Party! My neighbor is a consultant of Scentsy and her Mom is and Artist who makes Jewlery. When I saw these El Dia De Los Muertos earrings in turqoise, red and black I had to have them, they were so resonably priced.
I loved how the skull is all crackly...
I couldn't make up my mind to get only one of them so I got them in Halloween colors so I can wear these ones this week! I've been pinning a lot of Dia De Los Muertos type things on my Pinterest. Here are some cute ideas...if you too would like to jump on the bandwagon with World Market and Roger's Gardens...both places had a lot of "The Day of the Dead" art this year.
Here is Roger's Gardens display...
Wouldn't this guy be fun to make? From Craftzine magazine...
If only I knew how to crochet? I'd love to make these adorable skulls with the flowers....
How about this idea for garden art? I sooooo want to do this in my garden!! Doesn't this skull look so real? Which brings me to a weird family story, one time my Dad acquired a real human skull when he went to get dirt from a Cemetary for our yard}, he was shoveling dirt from his truck to our front yard and out rolled a skull, that was creepy what was even weirder than that, is that he kept that skull for a few years up in the closet. Yes, my Dad was an odd bird you could say. He eventully took it back to the cementary where he got it but not for a long time and everytime I open the coat closet to get my jacket it was staring back at me! True story..you can't make this stuff up. I've been decorating my porch and the rest of my Cottage on Cullen so I hope to take pictures and share with you my readers.
