I AM NOT! It's hard to feel inspired with weather temperatures in the upper 90's. It's been very hot here in Southern California for the past several days. I'm not inclined to light my pumpkin smelling candles....it would just make my house hotter!! But the weather {person} says it will be cooling off this coming holiday weekend.....so I need to start thinking about decorating my humble home for fall...Here are my TOP Ten countdown of things that remind me of the fall season {and what I look forward to}
10. Pumpkin Spice Coffee from here
9. Pumpkin Spice Pancakes from here , to die for!!!
8. Mini pumpkins especially in white...
{pic on left Country Living, pic on right..my home}
7. the fall decor on my hutch...one of my most favorite things to gussy up for fall
6. Beautiful fall wreaths...from L.L. Bean....
Or from Williams-Sonoma
5. Spicy smelling potpourri....
4. the turning of the leaves from green to red, orange and yellow.....
3. lighting candles as the days get shorter.....
2. baking this easy peasy delicious dessert for potlucks, Thanksgiving, it IS a FALL fave....My yumalisious PUMPKIN CRUNCH Recipe
1. and the number one reason that seems to occur in FALL is having more uninterrupted {no girls saying "mom, can we go to swim at so and so's or can we go to the park?} time to finish my ever expanding TO DO List....
liners need to be sewn, pillows need to be made, curtains and curtain rods to be bought or sewn.....projects need to be finished and on and on and on...
which brings me to this last point Melissa at the inspired room is having a Fall Nesting PAR-TAY!!! woop, woop!! not only that she along with {HOMEGOODS} is giving away a gift certificate for $$$$$$ yes, the nice green ones. BUT I need your help...I have 3 rooms that need to be done or finished but I can't decide which one should I focus on if by the powers that be I should win!! I would like you dear blog readers to vote on which room I should do........
Finish the Family Room.......
I don't think I have ever introduced you to Sully (Sullivan from Monster's Inc) ..he is our {Mr. Incredible's } 64 inch big screen T.V. and I HATE that stand it is on.,....OK!
Nice curtain rods, eh?
this corner needs HELP!!
I would like to get a variety of frames to put these up on the blank wall behind the sectional...
or should I work on my Master bedroom....
As you can see the Master Bedroom needs window treatments, wall art, bed skirts, side tables and a some help with the taking it from Blase to Wow!
or {I'm so embarrassed to show you the bathroom which is the "pit of despair" as my kids say}...please view at your own risk..I'm warning you..................
I know it's in pretty bad shape....so what would be your vote?
the family room
the master bedroom
or the bathroom....
please leave me your vote in the comment section I really appreciate each and every comment and your opinion means a lot to me.
Stay tuned for a give away coming up this month for my blog-anniversary....you won't want to miss it!!
Great photos of your home. Thanks for sharing!

I came across your blog and thought I would comment and give you my vote:) I think that you should work on the room that would give the most change and inspiration to you (and your family)! If you spend a good majority of time in the family room, than I would choose that. Plus this tends to be a room that guests see a lot more frequently than the other two areas. However, if you were planning to sell your home anytime soon....the master bath would be the way to go (that is the Realtor coming out in me). Good luck!!

I would do the family room-you spend more time in there and you are asleep most of the time in the bedroom.
My blog has just been growing like a crazy weed and I haven't been able to get by for as many visits. I miss all my blog friends.
Come for a visit and see both of my new parties for the week. They are up every week and I hope you will participate.

It seems like the master bedroom it getting the most votes.
Sherry..yes that's the picture when I saw your other one that one reminded me of it. I'm sort of going with those colors in my bedroom but would like to use a thick bamboo rod in the family room and use the linen tabbed curtain I have in half mode.
That's funny I thought everyone would vote on the bathroom since it's the most hedious and it's the bathroom that's at the front of the house and people who come over use that bathroom.

I think it's hilarious that you call the TV Sully! We have a monster of our own, although it's a little smaller, 55 inches. It's HD but I dont know if its LCD or what, but its huge and not a flat panel.
I'm not sure which room to work on! We have ended up saving our room for last, not that I really feel ANY room in our house is DONE. But I can feel the pain when it comes to the bathroom. Ours is ugly as well. I'm sure in 1962 when it was built it was fine, but not now!

Last year I didn't feel like doing anything fallish in September either. It was 90's and hot but this year we're lucky and it's been really much cooler - so I'm getting in the mood!
I guess I would do the Master Bedroom since that should be a sanctuary for you and your husband and I thing your money would go farther in Home Goods/TJ Maxx for that room than any other.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting about my bedroom makeover and the front porch decorations. I vote for your master bedroom makeover. Give yourself a treat! I bet I have that same Heather Chaddock's bedroom photo on my computer desktop. Is it the one with the toile and plaid comforter folded at the end of the bed. The windows have bamboo shades????????I just love that photo and have been going back and forth which one to use as my inspiration. I just love that photo also.
Stop by again and good luck with the shopping spree drawing.
Blessings...Sherry

I would choose to do the one that would come together the fastest, and that would make you feel inspired and successful. Then make a time line of sorts to get to the other rooms. It looks like the bath is the one that needs the MOST, so you need a step by step plan to do that work.......just my opinion.
