Wow..so many great choices. I think I'll start with Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I'll take this list to the Public Library and see if they have it in stock. I like to get my book there but the only thing is if it's a new book they only let you have it for 7 days and that is not always long enough for me..you know life gets in the way. I loved Gone with the Wind, I read it to Troy a few years ago. We really enjoyed it. I read the Scarlet Letter years ago, Manuela....in College...I suppose I could revist. Maybe I should pick up a Steinbeck novel. Anyways thanks everyone for such great suggestions...off to the Library.

I agree Like Water for Elephants but want to add A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Gone with the Wind, two amazing classics you must read in your lifetime. I have heard great things about Middle Place, just haven't had time to get to it. Pillars of the Earth a good read as well.
I look at my magazine basket and it feels so empty! Boo hoo! Have fun reading!

I've been trying to read that Animal Vegetable Miracle book for a few months now and I'm a quick reader but that one is slow going. How about working through some of the classics?

Hi Ellie :)

Have you read 'In The Garden Of Good And Evil'? It's older, but I love that book and it's a true story :)

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom is so inspirational and TRUE!
