This girl will be turning 11 today!!!  This girl knows what she wants!  This girl knows who she is!  I'm very proud of her...she is smart, sassy and independent! and that's Independent with a Capital I!

 
The Banana Cupcakes are made....how can you have a Paul Frank party featuring Julius the Monkey without making Banana Cupcakes....so we went with a Banana/Monkey theme.

 
The goody bags are decorated and packed up with a lot of goodies only a Monkey could love or maybe a Fifth Grader.  She decided she wanted a Co-ed party, I hope the spin the bottle game doesn't get out of hand {only joking} We plan on it but with "age appropriate" questions.  She couldn't decide if she was going with a HELLO Kitty party or Paul Frank and in the end she decided "Julius" would work better for a mixed sex Party.  And a colorful one it will be just like the sparkling personality of the Birthday Girl!!!!!

What kind of mood am I in Magnets, Jax, Banana split granola bar,  glittered pencil, Banana pudding roll, Banana fun band and Paul Frank Stickers. 

We will be having approx. 20 kiddos over at our house for a crazy, monkey filled day.  We will have a banana split bar, playing eat the donut game, Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle and doing all sorts of things only Fifth Graders will love.  My independent girl planned the whole party, {i encouraged her a bit on making the Banana Cupcakes, she wasn't so sure about that}.  She filled out all her invites herself, she decorated the goody bags and planned what her guests will all be doing. 

 It has been raining here all night, I hope it clears up by this afternoon,.  I have visions of muddy feet on my white couch!   Wish me luck...I'm sure I'll be popping the cork around 6 tonight as Mr. Incredible has to work and I'm on my own with a barrel full of monkeys!! Yikes!!  

It's that time!!

It's BUNCO time!  Yes..my MOMS club group wants to resurrect the game.  When I was in MOMS club I used to play once a month and then it seems like our lives go so busy and we stopped.  It also seems we were always in need of  substitute players.  Well....we all have really missed playing with one another.   I know everyone has different rules and guidelines.  We play 3 tables and four people to each table.  We all pitch in 5 dollars to play.  The #1 table is always the fanciest table with the best snacks and the #3 table has the worst snacks. The game is pretty easy....you have a score keeper at each table and you have 3 dice.  You get paired up according to what number you draw at the beginning of play.  For example if you draw #2 you sit at the middle (#2) table.  I you and your partner win you move up to table #1 is not you move down to #3.  You record your losses and wins.  You win by rolling the dice for what ever number you are on.  If you are on two's and you get 3 2's that's a BUNCO and you all try to grab the dice...you get points for how many dice you grab.  Sometimes I have left a Bunco night with huge gouges in my arm...and as always the drinks are plenty at this activity and sometimes I have heard it referred to Drunco instead of Bunco which explains why you might have battle scars from the game.  I think everyone goes and gets their nails done just for the occasion..Seriously.  And we give out money for prizes instead of gifts...the winner gets 15 smackaroo's and the one who has the most Bunko's gets 15 dollars too.  You also have to wear this gaudy dice necklace....when you win Bunco.   It kind of looks like a Mardi Gra necklace....It's really fun and I'm glad I get to go play tonight, it's really good stress reliever.  So wish me luck and hope that I don't come home as the biggest LOSER but then again..there is a prize for that too!!
