If you have been to my blog in the past, you might of noticed some changes going on around here....I'm trying to freshen up things a bit round here.....to reflect my change in my new home environment{new house and all}. I'm trying to do it myself without the help of paying for a graphic designer to do it....so it may take awhile and be kattywompus for awhile but it will get there eventually so excuse the construction for awhile.
Not only that .....well......I've also been busy pinning away at my Pinterest....well...if you haven't heard about this fabulous site, do you live under a rock? seriously? It's all the rage in the Internet world. Basically it's a virtual inspiration board for any category you need inspiration for. For instance you type in "pools" and a bunch of images for pools pop up and you can "pin" it to a board labeled "pools" and that will be your pool inspirational design board. I use that as an example because we are planning on putting in a Saltwater pool to our backyard, one of the reason we chose these particular home because of the good sized backyard. I do hope we put it in sooner rather than later and I'm collecting all kinds of pictures to help me figure out the design focus we want to take and it helps to have an inspiration file or in this case a virtual file board to collect ideas for any category you like. Here are a couple of images I found so far, all very different in their design asthetic.....here is number 1...
A very "natural" looking pool....with the granite rock boulders, which ya know I have a few of those laying around these parts....eh? So I could put them to good use.
Maybe more realistic for our needs would be this type of pool. I really like the grass on the edge with the slate around the pool edge with the jaquzzi up top, very similiar to my friend Teresa's pool I shared here.
This pool is much more "tailored" and clean cut...but I like the brick and the potted hydrangeas and those two pergola's something I'd like to have too!
At Pinterest you need to ask for an invite which may or may not take a couple of days and then you can start pinning away. You can look up fellow bloggers and "follow" them. Here are some more photos that I have pinned to my "kitchen I adore" board for when we redo our kitchen when I'm 82!!
which is exactly the direction I would like to go now (2011) and not in 35 years....but I think this look is timeless...so it wouldn't matter if we did it now or when I'm 82, I hope I don't have to wait until I'm 82 when I redo my kitchen...
I have a board just with her work...which I LOVE!!! I wish I could be her apprentice.....
Or these is quite country and farmhousey....Love the sink and the butcher block....
So get yous ASS in gear and head over to Pinterest and start pinning away...and you'll be a big Pinhead like me!!
