A few weekends ago I went to my neighbors' kids birthday party at her in-laws home, they have the most charming Tudor Style house, looks like it could be somewhere in the English countryside.
This is the little courtyard right outside of the front door.. would it be so nice to have your coffee out here every morning with a nice piping hot muffin to go with it.
Here is the front door.... but hold your horses we will go inside in a minute...all good things for those who wait....
The whole front of the house is covered in clingy, climbing Ficus....I love climbing anything as long as it is not a bug or snakes! NOT a fan of snakes!!
Lots of window boxes with colorful, beautiful flowers in them....
Let's go in the backyard and boy are you in for a treat.. it is an oasis of a backyard, if I do say so myself and I do-say-so-myself..
Sweet little door off the kitchen with that green awning, chaaarming...
Don't you want to take a refreshing dip in this pool? I know you do...but I was NOT about to put on my Bikini.....with ALL those handsome Latin men hanging out around the pool...
This is looking from the pool towards the back of the house...check out that Staghornfern, doesn't she look healthy growing on that enormous tree?
Under this beautiful tree were these green painted birdcages with plants and spanish moss growing in them....
Here is a nice quiet place to enjoy the view of the garden..
If sitting under the peacefulness is not your "thang" you can hang out in the Grandchildren's Clubhouse...and take a ride on that slide!
Speaking of the Grandchildren....here is one of them, is she not a cutie poototie!! She also happens to be the Birthday Girl... she isRockin' that swimsuit!! So very darling!
Here is the view of the pool from the upper deck. It is a two story home that was originally a one story. At night it was so pretty with all the umbrellas lit up with twinkle white lights...it felt like Disneyland! OK, now we will head indoors...
As you can see they are Vintage Lovers..they have lots of antiques in their home and they even have a booth at King Richards in Whittier, our local antique mall.
a view of the living room, without my flash on.
That's what I'm talkin' bout! Check out that exquisite chandelier!!
From the living room we go through the dining room and I spy another beauty!!
See I told ya! She is so very pretty!
Here is the "I love Lucy" door that goes from the dining room into the kitchen...La Cocina { Spanish for Kitchen}
this is to the right of the "I love Lucy" door.....
this is to the left of the "I love Lucy" door....
on the other side of the kitchen....
Here is the stain-glass window above the sink in the kitchen...
the quaint breakfast nook, this is where on the outside you see all the window boxes full of colorful flowers...
Now a good use of space is turning the space under the stairs into a bathroom...
Now the owner of this home makes these Fleur de Lis candles..and sells them at his booth. Not only do they have good design sense they are Crafty too!
this small dresser was tucked into the staircase...
I really liked these antique knobs...something you would find at Anthro...
one thing about the old houses that where made in the 1920's are the use of glass knobs...THAT is my favorite thing about these old houses...
Now my neighbor's husband is also talented and just finished this bathroom for his parents.
A two sink vanity. Bronze colored faucets, granite counters, black framed mirrors...
a beautiful sconce...for your romantic bath pleasure....
this is the family room and I really liked this mirrored console....
Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the upstairs...I'm pooped already, all this finger clicking...is tiring!
it was a Toy Story theme and took lots of pictures at

What a gorgeous home! I can't wait to see the rest.

I loved your play by play just as much as all their goodies!

Wow, a lovely home! It should be featured in Better Homes and Gardens or Cottage Living. The Toy Story party was very creative and what fun it looked!
