Ma's Beans

Ok...I'm so sorry for the poor quality of these photos.  I'm not sure what is going on with my camera, it is not that old.  I'm going to fiddle with the settings and see if I can get back to normal.  I took some pictures the other day outside and still wonky.  We call this recipe "Ma's Beans" because that is what my eldest daughter calls her Grandmother on my husbands side.  When she said "grandma" it came out Ma.  Ma made these beans all the time when she lived in California {now Ma and Papa live in Alabama} but I was able to wrangle her for the recipe and it is one of my husbands favorite. I promised I would share the recipe with you gals or guys  and here it is.  You should make it for your next potluck or family dinner.  And this is one of those recipes that tastes better the next day after all the ingredients have melded together. 

~~~~~~~~~Ma's Beans~~~~~~~~

Ingredients:

1 lb. of browned hamburger

3/4 lb. of diced, cooked bacon

1 chopped onion

2 1lb. 15oz. Pork N Beans

1 can of Kidney Beans

1 can of Butter Lima Beans

1 cup of Ketchup

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1 Tbsp of Liquid Smoke

3 Tbsps of White Vinegar

1 tsp. salt

1 dash of pepper

Directions:

Combine all the above ingredients in crock pot for 4-6 hours on low heat.

That's it...

Seriously, doesn't a tiny bit of Liquid Smoke just make this recipe!
