My youngest is turning 9 today!! It's so hard to believe that? Isn't it.....I used to say I wasn't going to feed them so they wouldn't grow...and they would stay little forever. I knew she was my last...so I think she is a wee bit spoiled....She designed these cute invitations for her party. Aren't they cute?
My Li'l Ol puter caught a nasty virus...so it had to go to the clinic. I learned a lot about computers and the nasty old internet. I found my guy in the Pennysaver after getting a quote from Geek Squad..they wanted 300. 00 buck a roos to come work on my computer in the comfort of my home. Well Yikes at that price I could of gotten a new computer. So I called this other guy and I'm so glad I did. I got a really good feeling about him over the phone. After confirming what the Geek Squad said about the Anti Virus Fake posing as my computer software anti virus system I was able to shut it down and not do any further damage to my Computer. He was able to save all of my programs and documents. He couldn't believe how many pictures I had....5,100 to be exact, he said he has never worked on a computer with that many pictures. He also said, "that when your computer slows down it does not matter how many pictures you have...it won't slow down it down, it a myth". So if you happen upon a website and red boxes start popping up....click the Ctrl, Alt and delete button and back out and don't click on the red X...that's the worst..it starts scanning your computer for information. He now has installed a great anti virus device and says he never wants to see me again. Me too that was too scary......more scary than the above picture of The Computer Clinic..see the repair man he has and AX.....

It's so beautiful today here...no rain the last couple of days. It's warm in the house, I have all the Living room windows open today and they are still open at almost 7 p.m. I already have my sleeveless nightgown while I sip my 2 Buck Chuck. Yes..I am a very refined women..you see. Ha!!! Anyways...as I think about open windows and warmer weather I think about being outside. I love the above picture and as I dream of my Dream House
Every night as I go to sleep I dream of her {i know pathetic, get a life} I figure if I shoot for the moon maybe I'll land on a star... Well, see that little window next to the fireplace I picture the first picture looking like that...a small brick patio with a small bistro set where you can sip coffee in the morning or maybe even open up the fireplace to have a double fire place { my husband says it can be done} and have a nice place to sit around the fire and drink wine and roast marshmallows. It's a beautiful day to be thinking such lovely thoughts....isnt' it?
Li'l Ellie {Gabrielle, that's me} wants to play!! And in play I have s few things I want to paint and plant. During our sporadic RAIN Storms here in Southern California I have been able to do some things here and there. I was able to get the front flower bed weeded. It looks much better now. Next time it's clear out there I''ll get some photos.
I was able to get in a couple of small painting projects too, the others will have to wait. I found these cute little frames in the dollar bin at Target. {told you I had an addiction to that store, isn't everybody?} I had this scrapbook paper { I think I got it from Pam } and the scallop punch and I had a coupon from Joann's so I got the Apple Green Spray Paint. I also had a few Chipboard letters laying around from K and Company. I love their letters!! So I making something special for my Girl {in the photo up above} to hang up in her room..stay tuned.

Every year my girls make their own special Valentines for their classmates in each of their classess. Usually we fill a bag with cookies or candies and make a cute hand stamped tag. Last year I wanted to make the Fortune cookie Valentines from here but my brood axed that idea. This year I thought this idea in this magazine was a great idea and the Li'l One was all on board!! I thought it was totally appropriate this year since they both got ipods for Christmas and perfect of 3rd Graders and 5th Graders alike.

This gal used chocolate kissess instead of the Resess Butter Cups...The directions say to use foil and wrap the cups in that but I found this pink cuties at BIG LOTS for $2.00 a bag...not bad considering Vons and Ralph's had them for $4 something. So I'm sure it's too late for you this year, on the count I'm always last minute but tuck this in your file for next year....and by the way HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Yes..it's the color RED and Hearts!! I wentaround and got some snapshots of some Hearty things in my HOME....I used to have a book from Mary Emmerling called Country Hearts for the Home..(maybe, that was the title?) somewhere I lost that book in the move. I really liked that book and one time I saw it at Downtown Orange in an antique shop...but they where asking way too much for it. I wonder if they still have it? It had lots of pictures of heart things, like stones and Iron gates. I think that book got me started on my heart fetish.....
So I started my day with a heart healthy breakfast...Oatmeal with Vanilla yogurt and cranberries, then I'll go grab my {RED}
and do a little Valentine Day Shopping for my sweeties.........
That's right...I headed to a couple of antique stores...
I think this would be really neat to do this on a patio on one side or I have seen old window hung up on a cement wall covered with creeping fig...like that idea.
When I was growing up my Mom had an old claw-foot tub in our backyard..she had good intentions for it. I think she wanted to plant flowers in it like this..
Or I think she would of liked to plant vegetables in it or Kitchen herbs for cooking.
The only thing I remember that Claw-foot tub being used for was for Stewy..our Duck. My dad rigged up a board for Stewy and he would take baths in it every day. I think we got Stewy one Easter. I can still remember exactly where that tub stood in our backyard. I think painting a Claw-foot tub this color would be divine...don't you?

I loved this dress they had in the store...
Look at the details...Lattice background with pretty flowers in that pretty smoky blue and the ric rac trim...so sweet. I wanted to buy it and hang it up as wall art. Wouldn't it make great scrapbook paper?
Speaking of blue....this is what ended up coming home with me.....I paid too much, I know but isn't it the sweetest aqua blue?
It's funny the other day my girls were saying.."Mom I wish we had that shopping cart you got rid of...it was so much fun", well when they got home they both squealed with delight. I think in the fall I can put pumpkins it it for some autumn decoration or maybe but in in my bathroom with towels in it. I got put plants in it too! My husband suggested I could make a liner for it and use it as a laundry hamper. The ideas are endless......
I lost my way somehow.....but I started taking online classess to clear my credential and was working everyday which left no time for my coupon clipping. But...I need to get back on track. My husband was layed off about a week ago. He is in construction so it goes with the territory, he has been layed off upteen times. But never with the economy the way it is. I decided to not take my last class for my CLAD because it's very expensive which would of started in about a week, the books alone cost between $30.00-60.00 a piece. So back to coupon clipping and Menu planning.
this is my little box of coupons, my husband usually runs out and gets the newspaper and sometimes will pick up a Starbucks but...those days are going to be far and few between in the future. I'll drink my cup of joe and clip away, it makes the tedious task a little more bearable. I have the coupons separated in sections...
You may recogonize the Longaberger Basket I've had forever! I just took small index cards and put label tabs on them. The categories are beverages, canned good, frozen foods, breakfast foods, dairy/meats, baking, pasta/helpers, paper/wraps, seasonings/condiments, pet foods/kitty litter, cleaning products, drug items and misc.
I used to do grocery game.com along time ago but stopped, I don't know why I guess I figure I could do the same. I just grab the weekley leaflet for the stores I go to, either Vonz or Ralphs. I see what is on sale and if I have a coupon for that and I base my weekley menu on that. I like writing a menu down because I never have to decide what is for dinner every night. Usually it ends up that on Thursday nights we have leftovers. Anyways...this is one way that I can contribute to saving money in this uncertain economy. I have stopped watching the news because I was feeling so depressed about the gloom and doom. I just was reading about her and I do hope she does endure, she has been such an influential designer of the last decade. My younget daughter's room is decorated in her line from Target....
I do hope President Obama has a bit of good news on his Presidential Address about the Nation's Economy tonight but maybe I won't watch and I'll hide my head in the sand and watch the Bachelor....
It was my BFF birthday on Friday so I thought those "ceramic tubs" would be so cute as a planter and here is the final product...I thought it came out darling.....
