Used to be is the operative phrase here......I can remember my first page I did it way back in 1977...Seriously..Seriously...do I sound like Izzy? (from Grey's Anatomy?) I did my first SCRAP Book when I went to stay with my cousin for the summer. It has no pictures and only bits and pieces of my 13 year old life in it. Some Slam books...Did anyone ever do those way back then, they were popular in my school in 1976ish. Fast Forward to 1992 when Creative Memories came into my life...I was teaching in Hawai'i and I can remember my very first page...lots of sticker sneezes and silhouettes of heads and die cuts in cute green triangles to match the Gumby and Pokey birthday page that celebrated my Best Friends Birthday. I did the CM way for a few years....then in 1999......when reading this magazine...I came across an ad across this website ....You may heard of this place before, eh? Well...that's when things in my Little Scrapbook World changed... I was really hooked. I can remember that first little Scrapbook together in San Clemente with Sharon Soneff and all the other Two pea gals....I met up with other fellow Peas and we formed a strong, strong bond. We started meeting up at a local Scrapbook Store...every 3rd Saturday of the month...religiously...we never missed getting together. I had some brushes with Scrapbook Celebrity........I was on some design teams..was published in some magazines, even my Scrapbook Room had it's Five minutes of Fame....but the most important and meaningful thing that came out of that "bygone era" is FRIENDSHIP...We formed a group called the SCRAPANOS.....we still meet, not as often as once before but when we do it's as if we have never missed a bit...They are the kind of girlfriends that you know you'll be friends forever. Some of us have gone on to more of a Scrapbook Celebrity Status, such as my good friend , or this buddy..and others have turned our love of Scrapbooking into a major,Photography Business ...and one has been an editor of a Life Art Magazine....all from scrapbooking...It has been neat to see all of my friends' successes...We all started from the same place and we have grown in different ways..but for one thing we have not grown apart. So like I said, "I use to scrapbook".....Here are some recent pages (and when I say recent I mean like a year ago recent, maybe longer than that)

Here are some of the Scrapanos on a field trip one Saturday afternoon...I love that store...see my button on the sideboard.

I love this page...I painted and distressed all the brads..but more importantly I love my Daughters picture, I love her eyelashes in her picture. She has really long eyelashes..and everyone is always making comments on how long they are...but I think her ears are too cute too...she doesn't have big ears though.
Here is a close up of the jounaling
Sorry for the bad lighting
I am the worst of never finishing things..see the tag on the right bottom corner? That's for journaling...Do you see any journaling there? Why? Cause I'm a lame brain.....
Here is a more involved page....it is a 2 page 12x12 size...that's what size I scrap in. Unless it is a gift album...then it is smaller.
the silver metal box in the left hand of the layout is an according album inside..here is a close up
So here is my proof...once Upon a Time I used to call myself a Scrapbooker...

I don't scrapbook - it looks like a fun and creaive thing to do, but so time consuming! Your pages are really nice - I like the French General one with the buttons.
